Spore Strips for Dry Heat, Ethylene Oxide, Steam and Formaldehyde

The gke Spore Strips are available for dry heat and ethylene oxide processes (Bacillus Atrophaeus according to EN ISO 11138-2 and 4) or for steam and formaldehyde process (Geobacillus Stearothermophilus according to EN ISO 11138-3). Resistance determination is available at an extra cost.

Spore Strips for Hydrogen Peroxide

The biological spore strips for hydrogen peroxide consist of Geobacillus Stearothermophilus bacterial spores inoculated on different carriers. Strip size is 6 x 38mm, and can be purchased as individually packaged (in Tyvek envelope of 94 x 65 mm) or in bulk in a blister pack. Spore strips are supplied with a certificate stating nominal population and D-value. Strips may used in the gke process challenge devices.

Spore Discs for Hydrogen Peroxide

Geobacillus Stearothermophilus bacterial spores are inoculated on discs with 7mm diameter with different carriers available. Spore discs are individually packaged in a Tyvek envelope (60 x 65mm) or are available in bulk in a blister pack.

Growth Media

The gke Growth Media are available in test tubes (diameter 16 x 1 mm) with CASO-Boullion tryptic soya broth (TSB), with pH indicator and aluminium screw cap with seal. The dimensions and volume of the test tubes have been optimised to fit various kinds of spore strips. If spores survive the pH indicator changes colour and allows for a quick evaluation of the result of a process.
